Freshfel position on the European School Fruit Scheme

Freshfel Europe supports the setting up of a European fruit and vegetables school scheme. Having the EU actively coordinating a school framework and engaging significant financial resources to secure a better awareness of the seriousness of the problem and availability of fresh produce at school, would be of great benefit to modify – with long-lasting effects – the diet of the youngest citizens and to rectify the obesity trends.
