The Freshfel Citrus Working Group was created in 2007 in order to provide a reliable and accurate information network across the global citrus market. It provides an important platform for the discussion of specific and technical issues within the citrus sector, and helps to foster international cooperation amongst interested parties. The main objective of the Citrus Working Group is to improve transparency, whilst accurately monitoring the citrus market.

The Citrus Working Group meets once per year at Fruitlogistica in February, however this meeting is complemented by a series of teleconferences throughout the year at key times in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere seasons, allowing for more short term analysis. Discussions are strictly informative, and in no way lead to agreements on prices or volumes.
